Meet Ana, The Coordinator

Ana is the founder and creative director of YouNique Affair, a planning and event design company.

Prior to integrating YouNique Affair in 2011, Ana had already established herself as a coordinator with

one of Houston’s flagship quaternary care hospitals and the number one hospital in Texas, Houston

Methodist where she remains and holds a 19+ years tenure. Beyond her service with the hospital, at

home and amongst family and friends, Ana would be front center helping put together and create

designs specifically for the décor of their events with a follow-through from beginning to end. Her

passion for design and creativity started at a very young age and it unfolded into a professional trade

when she was 13. Her story began with the Texas known homecoming mums. Even at that time, Ana

had developed her foundation which is now known as, “It’s All About You!” Each mum she created was

tailored to the client. Not one mum she created and made was the same as another.

Today, Ana carries the same drive and passion for all elements design, décor, and meticulous attention

to detail led by the individuality notion that has set her apart. Her gained knowledge via her service as a

coordinator has offered her the insight of guest experience, unique perspective on event harmonization,

and solution-oriented mindset. All this collectively allows her to create highly personal concepts

delivered in a creative and organized manner.

Ana takes pleasure in the arts and connecting with her senses, whether by sight, aroma, and or taste.

She indulges in life by parenting, creating, designing, writing, dancing, running, cooking,

socializing, and volunteering, and is fortunate enough to do most of these regularly. She is a

mother of three and a nana to her granddaughter. She and her fiancé enjoy spending time

together at home, traveling, or you may see them with each other on a YouNique Affair project.
